Medical ethics is a specialized branch of applied ethics. It deals with the ethical problems arising from interaction between health care professionals and patients, and the way in which medical technology should be used in the existing health care system. Much of the controversy in contemporary medicine is resulted from rapid developments in technological devices. He published two books: Marx and Gandhi: A Comparative Study of Social Philosophies and Ethics: Theory and Practice. As an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, currently he is working on a research project in Applied Ethics.
