This book is aimed at providing insight to the researchers and students working on the topic of erosion. it comprises findings related to HVOF coating behaviour under slurry erosion conditions.Two substrates such as 13Cr4Ni steel and 16Cr5Ni steel were coated by using HVOF coating technique.An attempt was made to simulate the similar condition of hydropower plant so that testing was carried out under similar conditions as of actual enviornment.An in-depth study of the erosion mechanism was carried out so as to mitigate the effect of erosion on the underwater parts of hydropower plants.Knowledge regardings the whole subject are built progressively in sucessive chapters.The explanatory notes and illustrations provided in the book will serve the purpose of awakening the interest of the researchers and invoking them for further research in the topic.
