ZUHAYR MIKDASHI has since 1976 been a Professor at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, where he founded the Institute of Banking and Finance in 1989. He has previously held posts at the Harvard University Centre for International Affairs, Washington D.C., the Japanese Institute for Developing Economies, Tokyo, the Indiana University Graduate School of Business Administration and the American University of Beirut. He has also acted as Consultant at the World Bank and other organizations and was Expert-Advisor at the United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations, New York. He is the author of several books and articles on international development.
