Child undernutrition is one of the biggest threat to the developing countries. India is the home to highest undernourished children in the world. There are various factors associated with child undernutrition. Place of residence found to be one of the significant determinant of child undernutrition. Children living in slum areas of India observed highly undernourished than those living in non slum areas. It shows the inequality of health status in the urban area. Though live in the same urban area, slum children noticed highly undernourished than the non slum children which is a serious concern. So proper policies need to be implemented to improve the nutritional status of children residing in slum areas.
