This book, Islamic Guarantee Scheme: An Experience of Malaysian Credit Guarantee Corporation, introduces readers to one of the important components in credit management, which is credit guarantee services. The rapid development in Islamic banking and finance industry has caused the Credit Guarantee Corporation of Malaysia (CGC) to come out with an Islamic version of credit guarantee. This books explores the mechanisms and operational side of the Credit Guarantee Corporation and evaluates the concepts that have been used when implementing the scheme. The book is also analysing the performance of Islamic guarantee scheme vis-a-vis its coventional counterpart since its inception. Strengths and weaknesses of the Corporation when implementing the Islamic guarantee scheme are discussed and suggestions towards improving the system are provided in the book.

Author is a lecturer in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a premier public university in Malaysia. He obtained Masters in Islamic Finance from University of Durham, UK and completed undergraduate studies majoring in Islamic Banking in UiTM. He is also an alumni of MCKK.
