'Sociology Annals, Nr. 19' Do Italians and German speaking populations tend to converge in their values orientation? The data of the European Values Study starting from 1981 and of the World Values Survey regarding the sphere of sexuality, family, sociality, politics, ethic, religion have been analysed by German and Italian sociologies. The results are far from expected. The end hypothesis is that the crisis of the 'modernity' brings post-modern aspects, not too far from the values coming from the pre-modern tradition.
