Francisco Cantú is a border patrol agent. He and his partners learn to track other humans during the night and day, haul in the dead and deliver to detention those they find alive. But, plagued by nightmares, he abandons the patrol for civilian life until a friend travels to Mexico and never returns. Cantú discovers that the border migrated with his friend, and now he must know the whole story.
