Das legendäre Beaux Arts Trio zählt einem der am längsten aktiven Klaviertrios aller Zeiten. Zusammengehalten von seiner Konstante in Person von Menahem Pressler, wirkte das Trio bis zu seiner Auflösung im Jahr 2008 über 5 Dekaden hinweg. In dieser Zeit nahm das Trio um den 2015 mit dem Echo für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichneten Klaviervirtuosen Pressler exklusiv für Philips auf. Dabei entstanden unter anderem Aufnahmen der kompletten Klaviertrio-Zyklen von Beethoven, Mozart und Haydn, die DECCA nun erstmals als gesonderte Gesamteinspielungen in drei ansehnlichen Sets veröffentlicht. Damit würdigt DECCA das Trio, das die Klassikwelt wie kein anderes maßgeblich geprägt hat und neue Maßstäbe in puncto Interpretation und Aufnahmetechnik gesetzt hat. Da erstaunt es kaum, dass das Trio während seiner mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert andauernden Karriere unzählige Preise und Auszeichnungen erhalten hat, darunter den Prix Mondial du Disque, dreimal Grand Prix du Disques, Union de la Presse Musicale Belge Caecilia Award, Gramophone Record of the Year und den Stereo Review Record of the Year Award.
